The Waterproof W8 5mm is a newly designed front-zip wetsuit of top quality, created for divers who demand performance and comfort. Built with the same precise fit and Swedish design as the W7 model, but with a practical front zipper for increased mobility. Made from Neoflex four-way super-stretch neoprene, the W8 offers maximum flexibility and comfort. Equipped with the innovative WaterDam, double-sealed zippers, and thermal lining, W8 uniquely protects against water ingress and keeps you warm in cold environments.
Features
Material and Seams
The W8 is made from 100% microcell Limestone CR Neoflex super-stretch neoprene, ensuring exceptional durability, flexibility, and insulation. The suit is glued and blind-stitched with high-quality nylon thread, ensuring maximum longevity and protection under demanding conditions.
Zipper and Fit
The suit features a YKK #10 Vislon front zipper with a corrosion-free slider positioned at the side of the neck for increased comfort and flexibility. The anatomical 3D design with pre-bent arms and legs provides maximum freedom of movement during dives, while flexible Wave Flex panels in the arm and leg hollows further enhance mobility.
Thermal Lining and WaterDam
The W8 is equipped with a super-stretch thermal lining that helps retain body heat, along with the unique WaterDam, which prevents water from flowing down the neck and spine when the head moves. Double-sealed zippers at the wrists and ankles make it easy to don and doff the suit while reducing water flow.
Pockets and Reinforcements
The W8 includes two integrated super-stretch hip pockets with drainage valves and loops, allowing room for essentials such as a spare mask, deco tables, or an SMB. The knees are reinforced with Kevlar® (Aramid) and Duratex, enhancing durability without compromising flexibility, while the seat and elbows are reinforced with Duratex for additional abrasion protection.
Additional Details
The suit has anti-slip prints on shoulders and waist to keep the weight belt in place, and easy-grip zippers with EasyGrip pullers offer easy operation with or without gloves. Computer strap anchors with anti-slip hold your dive computer securely in place. Molded velcro tabs on the collar ensure easy adjustment without damaging the material.
