The new plant-based Scubapro Everflex Yulex is the first dive wetsuit on the market to be made entirely of sustainable natural rubber. The farms that produce the raw material are also strictly social, environmentally and economically responsible, due to their FSC certification that aim to protect our environment.
Scubapro goes a step further in terms of sustainability! The seams are bonded using solvent-free glue and the polyester used for inner- and outer coatings, are created with a total of 45 recycled plastic bottles per suit.
High-quality material guarantees durability and safety when diving
In terms of quality, this eco-friendly solution does not compromise. It is as pressure resistance, comfortable and thermally protecting as the previous limestone neoprene. Long-term testing of the suit’s durability and resilience, show that it easily withstands years of intense diving in both salt- and chlorinated water.
Small improvements have actually been made, particularly to the parts of the suit where mechanical stress is shown. The additional protections are; abrasion-resistant coating on the seat and shoulders and as well, extra rubber pads on the knees and shoulders.
The double blindstitch seams are additionally glued, waterproof and very durable.
A good fit creates great thermal protection
As the already well-known Everflex, the Yulex is also designed according to Scubapro’s Pure Design. The concept ensures optimal thermal protection and freedom of movement, by using the necessary material thickness on the different parts of the body. To further improve thermal protection and overall comfort, the suit is reinforced by the warm Blue Diamond Span Fleece lining on the upper body, double cuffs on the legs and the welded arm cuffs, that also guarantee a great seal on the Yulex.
Due to the great design of thermal protection, the Yulex has been certified as a CE Thermal Class B diving suit, making it suitable down to 10°C, but of course it always depends on the personal sensitivity to cold water.
The suit is furthermore equipped with an additional front zip on the collar and extra padding on the compression molded zipper design, located ion the back to protect your spine. All the zippers used, are high-quality YKK-zippers with brass sliders for durability, watertightness and easier donning. I-strap are also located on each arm, to secure your wrist instruments.
