SEAC PURA – a frameless dive mask with advanced anti-fog treatment

The mask is equipped with SEAC’s patented hydrophilic lens coating, which significantly reduces fogging and contributes to clear, stable vision throughout the dive. The soft silicone skirt ensures a comfortable and watertight fit, while the ergonomic 3D mask strap keeps the mask securely in place during long dives.

Advanced anti-fog technology

The mask features SEAC’s patented ‘Double Plasma Anti-Fog Treatment’*, which makes the lens surface hydrophilic. The treatment prevents the formation of the small water droplets we experience as fog. Instead, moisture spreads as a thin film across the lens, which does not interfere with your vision but instead enhances clarity underwater. In practice, this means the lens remains fog-free during diving – even in cold water.

How to activate the coating:

  • Before diving, wet the lens by pouring water over it or holding the mask under water.

  • Gently rub the inside of the lens with your finger while water is still present.

  • Drain the mask – and it is ready for use.

Tested in the water by Diving2000’s instructors

Does a fog-free mask sound too good to be true? We thought so too. That’s why we had our own instructors take the mask into the water and do everything you normally shouldn’t: breathing through the nose, repeatedly flooding and clearing the mask, and using it in cold water. Quite simply, we couldn’t get it to fog up.

*The mask is equipped with an anti-fog treatment that helps keep the lens clear during diving. The effect is not permanent and will gradually diminish depending on use, care and storage. This is normal and part of the product’s characteristics.
