The rugged underwater housing is constructed from polycarbonate, stainless steel, aluminum, and tempered glass. Despite the solid construction, the weight is kept low - with a weight of only 808 grams, the underwater housing can easily be packed in a suitcase and will feel almost neutral underwater (depending on the iPhone model used).

The housing is easy to use, even with thick gloves. The buttons are large, functional, and the shutter button is conveniently located on the top of the housing, like on a traditional camera. The possibilities are many, and the user has full control over a range of settings, such as zoom, exposure (EV), auto/manual focus, white balance, color tone, single/dual camera lens (depending on smartphone model), RAW+JPEG mode, live photo, background blur (depending on smartphone model), and much more.

To enhance image processing results, an attachable underwater color correction filter is included, which restores natural colors underwater. The filter can be easily attached and removed underwater and includes a safety tether to prevent loss.
The SportDiver Ultra housing has three 1/4-20mm tripod mounts on the bottom for attaching a tripod, handle, and lights. It supports Sealife's range of mounts and trays as well as SeaDragon photo and video lights.
Free SportDiver App
To use the SportDiver Ultra housing, the SportDiver app must be used! - It is free, has no ads, and no upselling. The app and the housing communicate automatically through your smartphone's Bluetooth technology (Low Energy 5), and use your phone's camera technology to film and take photos. While your phone is in the housing, you will have full visibility of both your smartphone and the SportDiver Ultra housing's battery levels. The app supports current and previous versions of iOS and Android and is updated according to new versions of the operating system. There are no cables or buttons that touch your phone while it is in use in the housing.
In the app, you can view photos and videos in full size with a vertical thumbnail strip that allows you to easily navigate the album while still in the water. All your files are also automatically saved to your phone's camera roll.
The housing is powered by two AAA batteries, which last over 50 hours of continuous use.
Your Smartphone is in Safe Hands
For the safety and protection of your phone, the SportDiver Ultrahousing has a robust spring and rubber grip that securely holds your smartphone in place in the housing and also provides shock protection. The underwater housing also has Dual Leak Alarms, including an internal moisture alarm and a vacuum pressure alarm that warn the diver with sound and light in the unlikely event that the waterproof seal is compromised, and the housing loses pressure or moisture is detected. The SportDiver Ultra door is sealed with a TPE O-ring and a robust cam-lock sealing latch that easily and securely locks the housing. To prevent internal condensation from moisture, the SportDiver Ultra uses the anti-fog agent Moisture Muncher, which prevents fog and internal condensation.
