What Does a Snorkel Set Consist Of?

A snorkel set typically consists of three parts: a dive mask, snorkel, and fins.

The dive mask is the most important part of the snorkel set. It keeps saltwater out of your eyes and ensures you have good visibility while snorkeling. That’s why it’s important that it’s of the highest quality. It should provide 180-degree visibility, be comfortable to wear, seal tightly – and fog as little as possible.

The snorkel is, of course, also an important part of the snorkel set. It allows you to breathe while your head is underwater, giving you time to explore the world beneath the surface.

Last but not least, most snorkel sets include fins. While fins are not absolutely necessary for snorkeling, they offer a lot of benefits that make them really nice to have. Fins provide much better propulsion and allow you to move smoothly through the water. That means you’ll be able to swim for much longer and get the most out of the experience.

Snorkeling Holidays: Make Your Vacation Exciting with Snorkel Sets for Kids and Adults

Many people buy snorkel sets because they’re going on a summer holiday abroad – and with good reason: A snorkeling vacation is a fun and exciting way for the whole family to spend time together. You’ll share many amazing experiences that you can bring home with you. And once you have snorkel sets for both the kids and the adults in the family, new opportunities open up even after returning home.

In the warm summer weather, you can easily bring your snorkel set to the Danish beaches. That way, you can experience a whole new side of Danish nature – and really get the most out of your snorkeling gear.

Tip: How to Avoid Foggy Lenses

When you buy a new snorkel set, the mask will have a silicone film on the lenses to keep them clear during transport. However, this film can cause the lenses to fog when you use the mask. You can remove the silicone by gently rubbing toothpaste on the lens and then soaking the dive mask in soapy water.

When using the mask, you can often prevent foggy lenses by spitting into the mask, spreading it over the lens, and then rinsing the mask with water.

How to Maintain Your Snorkel Set

Snorkeling gear is not difficult to maintain: all it really takes is water. After using your snorkel set, you should rinse the dive mask, snorkel, and fins in clean, fresh water. Avoid using soap, as it can be harmful to the mask lens in particular.

We recommend storing the snorkel set in a mesh or travel bag. This keeps the gear free from dust and dirt and ensures that everything stays together. That way, you can enjoy your snorkeling gear for many years.
