Overview
The Scubapro MK25EVO BT / G260 Carbon BT / R105 Octopus is an upgraded version of the popular G260 technical diving regulator system. It features a carbon fiber front and Black Tech coating for enhanced durability and resistance. The MK25 EVO BT first stage with a balanced piston offers excellent resistance to freezing, sensitive inhalation, and quick air delivery on demand. The G260 Carbon BT second stage, with its large diaphragm and internal metal components, provides exceptional breathing comfort and freeze resistance, making it ideal for extreme diving conditions.
Features
Carbon Fiber and Black Tech Coating
The carbon fiber on the second stage’s front ensures a lightweight and extremely durable construction that can withstand shocks without damage. Both the first and second stages are coated with a scratch-resistant Black Tech finish that protects metal parts from corrosion caused by salt water and other environmental factors.
Balanced Piston and Second Stage
The MK25 EVO BT has an air-balanced flow-through piston that ensures constant and effortless airflow regardless of depth, tank pressure, or breathing rate. The air-balanced valve design in the second stage smooths out inhalation resistance, improving performance in varying conditions.
Adjustable Features
The diver-adjustable inhalation effort allows fine-tuning of air delivery based on depth, water conditions, and personal preferences. The Venturi-Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA) dive/pre-dive function helps prevent free flow in cold environments or when used as an octopus.
Advanced Hose Routing and Airflow
The reversible hose attachment allows for easy adjustment of hose placement for technical diving configurations. The Super-flow hose features an enlarged bore that allows more air to flow with each inhalation. A high-flow exhaust valve reduces exhalation resistance, enhancing overall breathing comfort.
Cold-Water Protection
The patented XTIS (Extended Thermal Insulating System) insulates the internal mechanism from cold, improving freeze resistance and delaying ice formation in extremely cold-water conditions.
